Samos can be reached either by plane or by ferry:
By plane
There are daily flights from Athens airport(45 minutes) and Thessaloniki airport(50 minutes) by Olympic Air, Aegean Airlines and Sky Express.
There are direct charter flights to Samos from many European cities.

From Samos Airport ” Aristarchus of Samos ” the simplest way to get to Summer School is to take a taxi to Karlovasi ( 45 Km or 24 miles )
By ferry
There are usually two ships every day coming to Samos from Piraeus, the port of Athens. They usually leave Piraeus in the morning and arrive at Samos early in the evening. It is about 9-11 hours travel, so in case you choose to travel by ship it will be convinient to book a bed or a cabin. Some itineraries ends at Karlovassi which is the first port of Samos . Other itineraries have final destination the port of Samos (Samos town is the capital of Samos).
During the summer months there is a regular connection with the ports of Kavala, Mytilene, Chios, and the Dodecanese.
There is also a daily connection from Kusadasi to the port of Vathi and Pythagoreio .
From Samos/Vathi the simplest way to get to Summer School is to take a taxi to Karlovasi (about 30 Km or 18.64 miles).
